North Carolina men exceed U.S men with higher rates of smoking, motor vehicle deaths, poverty rates, and the lack of health insurance. In spite of the growing gap there is deficit health care safety nets for Boys & Men of Color. As young boys and men of color suffer more poor health outcomes, MBK Durham wants to empower youth on living healthier.

Job Placement and Training helps individuals explore career opportunities including entrepreneurship, internships, co-op and full time employment. The goal is to provide youth with information that will help in their success to reach personal and career goals from high school to young adults.

Equality, protection and opportunity encompass a justice system. Currently our country still deals with high rates of boys and men of color being killed or incarcerated and MBK Durham along with partners focus to change this social outcome. Justice resources brings the opportunity to become educated on the justice system and how to be civically responsible.
